The 2Nd Annual Dc Lamb Jam May 21

Any person who does a lot of cooking will tell you that rooster by itself isn't the tastiest meat. Steak is more severe, red meat is more distinctive, and fish is more complex. Then again, hen has an advantage over all of those meats. Rooster is by means of far essentially the most versatile meat there is. Turkey does not evaluate, or even red meat is left in the dust. For this reason hen recipes must be at the center of any meat eater's menu.

However, my impression of English cuisine bumped up a couple of notches this weekend after visiting The Whip Tavern in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. The Whip takes all of the good dishes England has to offer, cooks them up properly, and offers them in a traditional pub setting. During the meal, I could swear that I was actually back in the UK, enjoying a bite down the street from my flat.

That night we eat lamb shank crock pot with light chilli seasoning in the 'voorkamer' of a 'huisie' just off the main drag! Recently opened by a couple of English journalists who reveal that they just 'stayed'. There are about a dozen other diners and the conversation flows easy over the room. Nathan and his wife are building restorers, her Mom is visiting from a farm deeper in the Karoo, Sally and Khati are intrepid explorers from Canada, a quiet couple at the back of us eavesdropping......... all on a comet quest.

The first person to seem to when you are trying to find new chicken recipes is your mother. Each mom - or father, if he was once the one who cooked on your circle of relatives - has a minimum of one hen recipe that she cherishes primarily else. For my mom, it used to be her chicken lamb curry. It was once absolutely delicious. It had chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, tons of turmeric, and of course a spicy curry sauce. She taught it to me once I went off to school, and I have been cooking it ever since. This is a mainstay of my diet.

You can serve both on their own or with brown rice if you're allowed to. Make big batches, split and freeze them in portion sized bags for days when you have less time.

While I have been experimenting and perfecting my vegetable curried lambs, the only one that has been enjoying them was me. That is, until very recently and now I have slowly gaining converts. About a month ago, my parents decided to go on a diet and my dad needed some new slim-down recipes. I gave him my Cauliflower curried lamb and he's been cooking up big batches of the stuff ever since. My good friend needed a flavorful dish for a professional potluck that would be okay for a variety of diet restrictions. I gave him my Cauliflower curried lamb and he said it was a smash success.

China In China lamb dishes the birthday child pays respect to his/her parents and receives a gift of money. Friends and relatives are invited to lunch and are served noodles to wish the birthday child a long life.

Make this day special for you father. Take him to his favorite restaurant, to the movies, play a round of golf. Any of these lets your father know that he is loved and appreciated.
